Dear Sisters and Brothers
70 years ago on Sunday her Majesty Queen Elizabeth became our Queen on the death of her father King George VI. Over these past 7 decades during which the world has changed so much she has held firm to her ideals of duty and faith which have steered her, and us through so many difficult times. Please remember her in your prayers on Sunday and give thanks for all that she has done, and will do for our Nation and Commonwealth.
This is my last Bulletin before I move. Stewart Hartley is hoping to keep a newsletter going. For all sorts of technical reasons (mainly my lack of ability) I can’t pass on my distribution list to him. So, if you would like to keep receiving this newsletter could you email Stewart ( [email protected]) and he will add you to the new list.
I would be grateful if you could keep me in your prayers on Monday 28th February when I will be licensed in my new Benefice at 7pm. at Kirby Hill. Some of you have expressed an interest in attending this service. If you are hoping to come could you let me know ([email protected]) by Tuesday please. My new churches are all small so space will be limited.
Thanks for everything that we have shared over these past years. And you will all be in my thoughts and prayers in the years ahead.
The Funeral of Mr Brian Knox will take place at St. Michael and St. Lawrence’s Church Fewston on Thursday 10th February at 12 noon.

Please remember in your prayers: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. Our Government. The Ukraine and Russia, praying for peace between those nations. For our own Armed Forces, especially those deployed in Eastern Europe and in the Baltic States. All working or volunteering in the NHS, especially those who are feeling overwhelmed. The homeless and those who cannot feed their families. Our friends and neighbours and all who live in this Benefice. Our Benefice as it looks to the future. For all those coming towards the end of their lives and those coming to terms with difficult diagnoses. The sick, and the dying, and those who care for them. For the families and friends of Cheryl McDonald and Brian Knox and for all those who mourn the loss of someone they love.
God bless you all.
Stephen
